Holdson and Electroparts Ltd Announce Exciting New Partnership to Drive Innovation and Growth in the Manufacturing Industry!

Both companies are based in the same little picturesque village in West Yorkshire, overlooking Emley moor mast. Holdson is an electrochemical polishing machine manufacturer. Electroparts Ltd offer contract electronic manufacturing services of complex cable & wiring, PCB and box build. A high priority to both companies is working with local businesses, which is why this new collaboration is an exciting step.

Holdson began trading in 2023 after the founders recognised a need for a more sustainable and efficient electrochemical polishing machine tool, which led to the development of its electroform machines. By using recyclable consumables and electrolytes and reducing energy consumption, Holdson’s electroform machines deliver high-quality results while minimising environmental impact.

Electroparts Ltd began operating in 1990, using customer specifications to manufacture simple electronic assemblies in the north of England. Since then, the commitment of their leadership team and a united ambition to grow has seen them evolve into a CEM powerhouse, capable of assembling thousands of complex units each day for customers of all sectors, locally and nationally.

Last year, Dominic Hancock at Electroparts had approached Holtex, Holdson’s sister company regarding a problem with some drilling we were having with some plastic enclosures. Dominic said “Together we worked through the problem we were having and took away some good advice from the Holtex team, which made our internal process less problematic.’’

The problem

Holdson then approached Electroparts to build and wire the control panels for its electroform machines based on designs created in-house. The company sought after a tidy and effective solution for the electronics in its machines, aiming to build a repeatable process to be followed moving forward.

Holdson’s main aim was to collaborate with a contract electronic manufacturing company to build their panels for all future machines. Fortunately for them, they found Electroparts right on their doorstep, sharing the same ethos of building relationships with local companies with an understanding of business requirements.

Prior to working with Electroparts, Holdson had difficulty in establishing an effective and efficient electronics solution that could be replicated across its electroform machine portfolio.

The solution

Work first began on a EF-300 machine, Holdson’s mid-range machine offering. Thanks to the close proximity to each other, the two teams were able to work collaboratively, developing a solution which was fit for purpose. Based on designs created and supplied by Holdson, Electroparts was able to produce the units in line with requirements.

Zahir Jamil, Development Lead at Holdson said “Working with Electoparts was a pleasure from start to finish – we’re extremely pleased with the outcome of the collaboration and look forward to working with them again in the future.”

The result

Electroparts successfully delivered a repeatable solution for their panel wiring in line with Holdson’s requirements. With future collaboration in mind, Electroparts ensured that documentation and internal designs were created, allowing Holdson to order to specifications in future, in turn supporting the company to define an end-to-end solution for its machine supply chain.

Through this project, a new working relationship has been formed between Electroparts and Holdson, establishing Electroparts as a trusted supplier and forming a framework for future collaboration.

Here in Yorkshire, we know that success isn’t down to luck – it’s built on hard work, collaboration, and a strong local community. This strategic collaboration combined the strengths of both organisations, with both companies being proud to work alongside fellow Yorkshire businesses; supporting each other to grow and deliver top-quality products and services. When local businesses come together, we all share in the success!

Sharon Greenwood the General Manager of Electroparts said “We are thrilled to partner with Holdson, combining our resources to bring innovative solutions together. From our first initial meeting I knew that we could help with their requirements and would be an exciting journey. It has been great to see the companies’ relationships grow and how the teams have worked so well together to provide solutions and long-term value for their customers.”
